It’s not necessarily six months every time.
If the branch isn’t handling many interviews and isn’t particularly busy, they may accept a reshoot even before six months have passed.
In short, how busy the branch is makes a big difference.
That said, even busy branches will often agree to a reshoot if you’ve had your hair cut and your overall look has changed,
or if you’ve lost weight through dieting and your image has changed.
The reshoot doesn’t have to be at the same branch,
but since the staff member who conducted your initial interview is usually in charge, it may be difficult to ask for another branch.
Also, if you’re in a higher class, it seems that the same staff member may travel to other branches to handle your appointment.
One workaround is that if Maezawa is the one taking the new photos, it may be possible even before six months have passed.
However, the shoot would take place at a Tokyo branch, so it may be difficult for anyone who doesn’t live in or around Tokyo.
If you want to try this workaround,
it may be best to contact Maezawa via LINE, through your messages with the staff, starting with something like,
“I’d like you to take a look at my profile.”
Then you could bring up the reshoot afterward, I imagine.
That said, on rare occasions, the branch in charge may turn it down.
I’m sorry if that happens and I can’t help.
(Usually it should be fine, though—I don’t recall ever having a request rejected in the past.)
