“Some women are Gold but really at the Platinum level.
Or perhaps just barely good enough for Black.
There are actually quite a few women like that.”
I’d appreciate it if you could explain specifically why you would classify a woman who seems good enough for Black as Gold instead, as well as the advantages of doing so.
Maezawa here with an answer.
Even if a woman looks like she might just barely qualify for the Black class based on her photos alone, the staff member who interviews her may see things differently.
I don’t think the classes are set with any particular benefits in mind.
All the staff carefully assess each woman and place her in the class they believe will receive appropriate offers.
Of course, there can be differences between staff members. When someone is right on the borderline for a higher class, they may also wonder whether others will really see her that way.
I think they set the class while worrying about things like, “What if she doesn’t receive any offers because of this?”
