It’s not a bug—Mr. Maezawa previously said that maybe someone with way too much free time is making the numbers line up.
I just answered one too, and at first the number was 0 or 1, but when I checked a few days later, they were all lined up.
Creepy. Who is this ridiculously idle person? How long is this going to continue?

I mentioned this briefly before, but I had a programmer look into it because I thought it might be a bug. They found that there were people liking a large number of posts within the same time period, so they concluded that it probably wasn’t a bug.
If there were a bug capable of altering the logs as well, it might be a program someone deliberately planted, but I wonder if anyone would really go that far.
Maybe it would be better to remove the “like” feature altogether, but rewriting the program takes time and resources, and things like the members’ pages take priority, so I feel it would be difficult.
I think it should be fairly easy to add features like being able to post images, as on a blog—perhaps only for people answering questions—or change the font size and color. (There are plenty of editor source codes available online, too.) But according to the programmer, it isn’t that simple.
I suggested it about two years ago as well, but the response was that there probably weren’t many people who needed those features, so the idea was put on hold, with the understanding that they’d reconsider it when they had some resources available.
But “when resources become available” basically means when the programmers have no other work left, so that day will never come...
The like issue may be a separate matter, but the resource problem always comes up.
They’ve increased the number of programmers quite a bit, though.

There seem to be quite a few system bugs, but when the same person keeps making lots of pointless posts like this, would that be what you call a human bug?
Since humans themselves have bugs, I suppose it’s only natural for systems to have bugs too, haha. Though judging by that person’s past posts and answers, it doesn’t seem to be a bug...
I agree with Zuiki-san in that I don’t really see the need for a “Like” button. The idea was that this anonymous question box should become a source of information through its answers, so I feel there’s no need to add “Likes” based on everyone’s individual opinions.
There’s no such thing as a good or bad Like for an opinion. And if the readers are supposed to decide whether an opinion is good or bad, then the Like button feels even more contradictory—almost like market manipulation.
If a system like that is absolutely necessary, I think buttons like “I get it” or “Huh, interesting” would be better than “Like,” since they could cover a wider range of reactions.
Twitter has also had issues where people wanted to show some kind of support for someone else’s misfortune, but felt that pressing “Like” was inappropriate...
Actually, considering how heated things have been lately, sometimes I think a “That’s rough” button might be useful too.

I’m Zuiki, a male member who wants to feed on people’s dreams.
I can’t say for sure whether this is a bug, but speaking of numbers ending up the same, there’s been a persistent issue where the view count on the top page of Cinderella’s “We’re Looking for Writers for Our Papa-Katsu Column” is always identical to the view count right next to it.
Taking that kind of phenomenon into account, I feel like the possibility of it being a bug can’t be ruled out.
That said, as someone who has just become an answerer and would like to be supported by an extremely abnormal minority, I’m not offended—but it’s not exactly what I intended, either, hahaha.
But when you think about it, maybe we don’t need Like buttons in the first place?
Whether the number of Likes increases because you’re supported by an overwhelming minority, or stays at zero because you’re supported by the absolute majority, I don’t feel either outcome has any real meaning in terms of papa-katsu.
Hmm, no, that’s not quite it—
I don’t think either is particularly meaningful for the development of Universe Club.
What do you think, Maezawa-san? Why not just get rid of the Like button altogether?

I don’t think it’s a bug.
After you post an answer, the number of likes stays at 0 for a while, but when you check again later, they’ve all been counted.

How can you tell what’s in the minority or majority? The opinions you like aren’t necessarily the majority view.
Besides, if you already have what you consider to be the majority opinion or answer, then there’s no point in asking a question in the first place.

I assume the Like button was added based on social media, but unlike social media, anonymous Q&A boxes don’t authenticate users, so it doesn’t seem to work very well here.
I’m in favor of getting rid of the Like function.
