I’m a male member registered in the Black tier. I feel that women 35 and older tend to be more composed than younger women, and I think dining at restaurants with them would attract less awkward attention from those around us. That said, I have no issue with younger women as long as they come across as mature.

The other day, I was having a meal and chatting with a club staff member, who said that some male members feel that women in the Black tier who are experienced with this kind of dating can seem a little jaded. Everyone is different, of course, but for those of you who have actually experienced this, what do you mean by “seeming jaded”? I’d appreciate hearing the opinions of male members who have firsthand experience.

Why not make lots of offers and see someone regularly who matches the kind of vibe you’re looking for? There are younger people who are calm and mature, too. Also, I think it can be interesting to date people with different preferences.

“Having a somewhat jaded air” probably means the difference between saying: “I’m popular, you know. Please give me a higher allowance.” in a modest, reserved way, versus saying it as though it were only natural. Saying it modestly comes across as acting superior. Saying it matter-of-factly comes across as overconfident, stuck-up, and, on top of that, someone with no other options（笑）—that’s what I think they mean by “jaded.” A man who lays out his terms to a woman he’s dating and refuses to see her unless she accepts anything beyond them might also be considered jaded（笑） Well, that’s just one way of looking at it… for what it’s worth.
