When you register with Universe, if you provide the man’s name and phone number and ask them from the start to hide any matching members from your profile, they can search for that man and hide him.
This has nothing to do with SALON.
The problem is that if the papa uses multiple phone numbers, he may not show up in the search. In that case, they may conclude there is no matching man and leave him visible.

I think it’s perfectly fine to be cautious. Humans run the service, so mistakes do happen.
They do their best to prevent mistakes, but some are unavoidable.
For example, even airplane pilots make mistakes. I’ve heard that airplane designers plan for this possibility and design planes so they won’t crash even if the pilot makes a mistake.
There’s no point simply saying that a plane will crash because the pilot might make a mistake.

If you feel that way, I think it’s okay to give up on registering with Universe.
Basically, mistakes are unlikely, but if a man uses different phone numbers, he won’t be hidden even if the staff make no mistake. Also, if one of his friends is a Universe member, he could find out through that friend.
If you still feel that registering would be worthwhile, you should think through how you would respond if the man found out before signing up.
Another option would be to register with a blurred photo at first. With a blurred photo, the man might think there is someone who looks similar, but he wouldn’t be able to say for certain that it’s you, which should reduce the risk of being found out.
You’ll receive fewer offers with a blurred photo, but if you’re someone who was accepted to register with SALON, I imagine you should still receive a reasonable number of offers even with a blurred photo.
Incidentally, communication with SALON is possible, so they can identify which man you went on a date with, making it easy to hide him. However, depending on what the terms of the service say about handling data, the staff may know who’s who but still be unable to hide someone based on that information, since it would mean using data from another service.
So the basic procedure may end up being to search by the man’s real name and phone number and hide him that way.
That said, I seem to remember that the data could be used within the group.
