Maezawa here—I’ll answer this one too.
> “That incomprehensible management jargon”
Wait, are you someone from inside the company?
I’m curious how you know so much about the company’s internal organization.
If by “management jargon” you mean department names in English, titles like Chief Concierge and Head Concierge have existed for quite some time. So this isn’t something that just started recently; I think the idea of using English terms was there from the beginning.
In most Japanese companies, departments are called things like “〇〇 Department” or “〇〇 Division,” but is there really any need to insist on traditionally Japanese-style names? What problem do English department names actually cause? In reality, perhaps they don’t cause any problems at all.
When you think about it, the name of the department doesn’t really matter—the substance is the same. It ultimately comes down to the people working there.
If there is an issue, it may be that they’ve started introducing entirely new rules that have nothing to do with the English terminology, and those rules are the exact opposite of Universe’s corporate culture.
I don’t know whether this will lead things in a good or bad direction, but these are decisions made by the president. If something seems wrong, I’m sure he’ll correct it quickly. And if the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, they’ll probably conclude that introducing the new rules was the right decision.
With that in mind, I’m very curious to see what happens next. Universe really is an interesting company, as always.

I’m Mamiya, still suffering from a serious Takita withdrawal, and I’ll answer your question.
This is bad… I’m completely out of the loop!!
By the way, I currently belong to the East Customer Loyalty Group.
When the rules about proper posture were first introduced, I kept having exchanges with staff member Oshiro, like something out of a Japanese movie: “That’s wrong, Oshiro-kun. You just answered while sitting down, didn’t you?” After all that practice, Oshiro has finally gotten good at standing up while turning his chair around.
Just because I’m slightly senior to him, I’ve been enjoying feeling rather important.
I know it won’t be easy for these practices to fully take root, but I believe in starting by simply giving it a try. That attitude is what has allowed me to enjoy my work all this time.
As for the club’s future, thanks to everyone, we’re continuing to break our monthly nationwide sales records!!
Yesterday, I even received a greeting message from one of our new graduates. Seeing that made me feel that the future is bright.
As Universe embarks on major reforms, I sincerely ask for your continued support, encouragement, and constructive criticism.
