Also, if your papa (a male supporter) is okay with you having a boyfriend, you could say that you’ve started dating someone—or that you actually already had a boyfriend.
You might even be able to use something like, “My boyfriend cheated on me and seems to have brought home an illness, and I’m furious,” but…

But if she handled it the way Mac suggested, I’d accept it once and wouldn’t end things.
