Several of the men I’ve met seem to show my photos to others without my permission. On top of that, it seems they even ask women or men they know, “What kind of person do you think she is?” I’ve heard they show someone my photos and share the kinds of exchanges we’ve been having even before making an offer. Honestly, it’s extremely off-putting and frightening. What on earth are people like this thinking when they show others these things and talk about them?

It’s not really about feelings. I think people like that simply don’t stop to consider how the other person might feel or how their behavior looks objectively. If I had to frame it in terms of feelings, I’d imagine it’s something like the mindset of middle school boys who start rating women while showing each other gravure photos.
