Some men do feel bad that they can’t offer a larger allowance.
However, there have been questions in the Q&A box asking, “Why would you go out of your way to tell a woman that?” after men said this out loud. So even if they feel that way, it seems better for men not to say it.
You can probably tell how a man feels from his attitude when you’re together.
That said, I don’t think they necessarily feel guilty. If both people have agreed to the arrangement, why should they feel guilty about it?
