Could you possibly be spending around ¥10 million on the new store’s interior? How many tsubo is the space? My expectations are rising!

I’m late to answer, but Mamiya is doing everything possible to beat Maezawa to it! “Ippon” means 10 million yen, right? They’re probably making at least that much without breaking a sweat... I’m honestly glad I’m not in charge of the accounts. (汗) Anyway, I’ve heard it’s an incredibly luxurious space that the designer was extremely particular about. Apparently, they’re even looking for a tree around 500 years old and can’t find one. It’s a whole different world. I wonder if there’ll be a chance to see it someday—even the staff might not get to. I’m rooting for the tree.

Maezawa here. The interior of the new location is costing a huge amount—so much that you might wonder, “Is it really okay to spend this much?” I’m not sure how much “ippon” means in this industry, but if it means 100 million yen, then fortunately it hasn’t cost quite that much. However, if “ippon” means 10 million yen, then we’re talking about considerably more than one ippon. The concept images look amazing, so it’s definitely promising. That said, even cars can look incredibly cool in the design stage but end up being underwhelming once they’re actually released, so I’m curious to see how it turns out with the interior. The space itself isn’t particularly large, but we won’t really know what it’s like until it’s finished.
