The moment someone asks me for a gift even though I’m already giving her an allowance, I immediately feel like ending things.
Even if he’s a generous (well-paying) papa (though “generous papa” is a bit rude to say), if your gift request goes badly, it could end with you two breaking things off.
I hope your papa is the type who enjoys giving gifts.

Try asking him over LINE or something, “Isn’t this nice? Isn’t it cute?”
“Isn’t this nice?”
Before replying, check the price.
A man who can read the room will check the price and respond appropriately.

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but if you bring it up a few times like:
“I’m going to buy this beauty gadget called ○○ soon. I’ve only saved up one-tenth of the cost so far, but if I meet him ten more times, I’ll have enough. I’m so excited.”
a man who likes you may end up buying it for you.
It’s basically that when a man likes a woman, he wants to give her the things she wants—though obviously not things that are ridiculously expensive.
If you directly ask him to buy it, he’ll probably lose the desire to do so, so unless you have a special talent, you should never say it outright.
Special talent: knowing how to make requests.
Women who have that skill might pull it off, but ordinary people probably can’t.

Instead of asking for things, why not make your papa (a male supporter) like you even more, so that he naturally wants to buy you something for your birthday or other occasions?
The other day, my papa asked me, “Isn’t there anything you want?” I couldn’t think of anything right away, so I said no. But somehow, I have a feeling he’ll give me something nicer than last year for my birthday, haha.
Honestly, asking for things doesn’t leave a good impression...

I feel like Mr. Makeotoko was calling me out.
It wasn’t mama-katsu, but I once dated a single guy 18 years younger than me for three years.
He adored me and was a very considerate person.
Of course, he never once asked me for anything.
If he said he wanted the latest iPhone 12 Pro 512GB to match mine, I might say, “Then let’s save up together so you can afford it.”
But if he’d asked for a game he liked or a Switch, I probably would have lost interest.
Sorry I’m not a generous (well-paying) mama.

If your papa (a male supporter) is generous (well-paying), you can ask for things you want as gifts for anniversaries or other special occasions. If you’ve been seeing each other for a long time, he may even pick up on what you want from your everyday conversations without you having to ask directly.
Going shopping together when you go out is another option.
When a papa gives you a gift, it’s also a way of enjoying a closer, almost romantic relationship. But in papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), where an allowance is involved, you shouldn’t forget that unlike ordinary relationships between men and women—where gifts express or reaffirm affection—asking for too much can instantly kill the mood.
The key is to let your happiness show and make it clear that the gifts you’ve received so far have already made you more than happy.
Whatever you do, don’t give off the impression that you want more and more or are still asking for additional things.

If he’s the type of man who enjoys giving gifts, why not tell him directly? You might receive one on a special occasion.
Just make sure you read the situation and act accordingly.
Some papa (male supporters) are generous with allowances but don’t like giving presents.
On the other hand, some don’t want to pay much allowance but love giving gifts.

I’d like to say that you should be grateful just to have received an offer, but as Papuwa-san said, I think you should be straightforward with your papa. If you hint at it indirectly and he brushes it off, you’ll only get annoyed, right?
Though I’ve never actually said that myself.

Suppose you were doing mama-katsu and had an arrangement with a Johnny’s Jr. that included an adult relationship, and he told you he wanted the latest iPhone 12 Pro 512GB. What kind of way of asking would make you feel good about buying it for him?
What do the other female respondents think?

I think you should just say it when the mood is at its best the next time you meet(笑)
At that moment, what will papa’s expression be???
