I’m a male member and kind of a loser.
After wearing her out until she’s completely passed out, I often wash my hair while she’s asleep.
That way, I can go straight to bed when I get home.

Women who aren’t used to this kind of thing sometimes wash their hair when they take a shower.
I imagine it’s because that’s what they normally do when showering at home.
It’s also possible that this man has mostly dated women like that in the past.

You wouldn’t wash your hair before an adult relationship, would you?
If you’re going to wash it, you might say afterward, “Is it okay if I wash my hair?” But in that case, it’s basically just taking the place of your bath for the day.
The only exception is with my long-term girlfriend. In winter, I’ll say, “I didn’t take a bath yesterday, so is it okay if I wash my hair and remove my body hair?” and do whatever I can.

This is more a matter of personal values—or maybe daily habits^^;
If you keep yourself clean regularly, there’s no need to wash your hair every time.
Personally, I might lightly wet it or rinse it, but I’ve never done the whole serious routine of shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying.
An ideal woman once told me, “Don’t wash it, because the scent will linger”♪
