I’m not comfortable being asked about my private life by the men I meet here. Is it a bad impression from their perspective if I want to change the subject even when they ask things like, “How’s school?” “Are your exams over?” or “Are you going anywhere with your friends?”

I’m columnist Fuu. If you don’t feel like talking, why not ask your papa questions instead? Is work going well? What kind of food do you like? What do you like to drink? Are there any sports you enjoy? What kind of music do you listen to? What do you do on your days off? And so on. When your papa starts sharing his knowledge, that’s your chance! Keep your eyes sparkling, respond enthusiastically, and ask follow-up questions. The “sa-shi-su-se-so” phrases of a capable woman: Sa → “As expected of you.” Shi → “I didn’t know that!” Su → “Amazing!” Se → “You have great taste.” So → “Oh, I see.” How about trying the strategy of getting your papa to do the talking?

I’m Flag Maker, a columnist. Looking at it from another angle: Some male members who read this question may be thinking, “Then what am I supposed to talk about?” So here’s one example of how to keep the conversation extremely light with a woman who seems to dislike being asked personal questions. It’s a ridiculously silly bit where you dramatically react to every ordinary answer. Put some expression into it, and let your voice go slightly high-pitched when you react. For example: Me: “What time did you get up today?” Woman: “Around [x], I guess.” Me: “[X]?!” Me: “By the way, did you eat breakfast?” Woman: “Yes.” Me: “You did?!” Me: “What did you have with it?” Woman: “A fried egg.” Me: “A fried egg?!” Me: “By the way, how many minutes after waking up did you eat?” Woman: “Maybe around [x] minutes later?” Me: “[X] minutes later?! So you made that fried egg during that time?!” Me: “By the way, do you brush your teeth before or after eating?” Woman: “After, I guess.” Me: “After?!” Me: “What do you want to order to drink?” Woman: “I’m having trouble deciding… Okay, a highball.” Me: “After all that deliberation, a highball?! A… high… ball…” Once she starts giggling, you’re in. You can adapt this endlessly and keep pushing this bit throughout the date. However, if she doesn’t react at all—or responds with a confused “?”—cut your losses and stop early. If you keep doing this with someone like that, you’ll seriously hurt yourself.

I’m Dai, a male member. I think he may simply be running out of things to talk about. It would help if you could bring up a few topics yourself… If conversation isn’t your strong suit, you might as well head to the hotel early. Once you enter into an adult relationship (intimate), all kinds of things to talk about will naturally come up.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here. I can’t say whether it will leave a bad impression, but if the conversation comes to a halt there, I feel like it could make things awkward. If you want to steer the conversation elsewhere, you’ll probably need the conversational skills to keep it enjoyable afterward. When the conversation is lively, people generally won’t mind even if you don’t answer the question directly. But if changing the subject ends the conversation, you’ll probably come across as a woman who isn’t much fun to talk to.

This is Ayase Nana♡ If you don’t answer when you’re asked, they’ll assume there’s something going on and ask again. The man might also get a little annoyed····· Aren’t you creating a persona? If your story is that you attend a prestigious university, create a character and stick to that story with everyone. Don’t go into too much detail, or you’ll trip yourself up.

You’re receiving an allowance you couldn’t earn on your own, so the least you could do is smile and make pleasant conversation. I’m not saying you have to tell them everything that’s true. Compared with earning that allowance through a regular part-time job, surely you can manage that much. Stop complaining all the time. Akari

When someone makes an obviously annoyed face and changes the subject, you naturally start to wonder if there’s something to it, right? He’s keeping the conversation going so you won’t sit in silence, because you can’t come up with any other enjoyable topics yourself. Work on your conversational skills so you can keep things fun without being asked questions like that. Also, don’t get upset over being asked something so trivial. If you don’t want to tell the truth, just make up a persona and answer accordingly. Use your head. Marika

I’m Kazu, a male member. Since many men pursue these relationships for the kind of interaction they can’t get at adult entertainment venues, I think this would generally leave a very bad impression. That said, there are probably men whose only interest is having sex with young women, so you might have better luck if you meet someone like that. Rather than pursuing a relationship through a dating club, using a dating site for compensated dating might be more likely to meet your needs. With compensated dating, there’s usually no meal, and probably much less time spent talking than with a dating club.
