I think you may need to change the way you look at it. Rather than lamenting that your savings are small compared with what you’ve earned, I think you should focus on earning more.

There’s absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Moving from an app to an elite dating club sounds like a smart choice to me.
If you wanted to save the money, then save it—but papa-katsu can be stressful at times, so if you want to spend it, I think that’s fine too.
If you do want to save, you should decide how much to put away based on your own goals. Everyone’s living costs, priorities, and spending habits are different.

I think it depends somewhat on whether you live alone or with your family. If you live alone, earning ¥17 million over six years and spending ¥14 million of it doesn’t seem excessively wasteful to me.
Conversely, if we assume you’ve managed to save ¥10 million, that means you’ve only spent ¥7 million over six years—about ¥97,000 a month—which doesn’t even seem enough to cover rent and food…
Don’t worry too much about what other people say. I think you’re fine as you are.

If someone earning ¥240,000 a month said, “After six years, I’ve only managed to save ¥3 million,” I think more people would say, “You’ve done well.”
Even if they were a student until age 22 and only started working at 23, it doesn’t seem particularly unusual if they were living on their own.
They might have been able to save a little more if they lived with their parents, but people tend to spend quite a bit when they’re young.
If you’ve managed to save ¥3 million by age 24, that doesn’t seem bad at all.
As you get older, you start to figure out where you can cut back, but I think that’s simply one of the benefits of experience.
If you feel you haven’t saved enough, you can just start saving more from now on.
You’re still at an age where you can do all kinds of things.

When you say you’re paying for living expenses like food, do you mean you live with your parents? If you live alone, you’d also have rent, utilities, and so on…
Assuming that’s the case, if your goal is to save money, I don’t think you’ve been able to save very much…

As Mac wrote, I should have saved up 10 million yen by now.
I think the reason I haven’t been able to save that much is that I was destined to go through all those stages.
I’m not interested in people like that.

So, you spent ¥14 million over six years—an average of ¥2.33 million per year. If that amount went toward food and living expenses, I wouldn’t say you spent too much. If you were saving an average of ¥500,000 a year, I’d say you were being relatively responsible.
That said, once you get a job and stop doing papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), your finances may suddenly become tight unless you find a fairly well-paying position.
