I agreed on the allowance with a Type C woman at our first date, but she said she only wanted dinner again on the second date, so I ended things. Can I report her as secretly being Type A or B?

I’m だて◎ゆめ, a male member. Hmm… I’m not really sure how to answer this one either. Still, I suppose women like that are allowed to exist, right? It’s all part of the experience. Just having your offer accepted is already a positive. I started out by having my offers rejected, after all… Eventually, you’ll meet a woman who’s willing to date you. Consider this a good learning experience, take it in stride, and move on to the next one.

I’m Dai, a male member. Why do you think she said she only wanted dinner the second time? If she was on her period or something, it can’t be helped. Another possibility is that the allowance you agreed on during the first date was too low, and another man offered her more. She may have decided that she couldn’t have an adult relationship (intimate) with you for the allowance you offered. By a “hidden A type,” I think you mean a woman who never intended to have an adult relationship (intimate) from the start. (The type who uses the fact that C-type women get more offers as an excuse, and tries to keep things going for multiple dinner-only dates, right?) In your case, since you agreed on the allowance during the first date, I don’t think she was a hidden A type. By the way, what kind of woman would you describe as a hidden B type?

Maybe it’s because he didn’t invite you on the first date, and the second meeting happened to fall on a day when you weren’t feeling well. How selfish. Marika

I’m Fuu, a column writer. There isn’t enough information to say for sure. Of course, she may have misrepresented her type. If the woman turned down an adult relationship at the first meeting, she may simply have felt uncomfortable with you on a personal level. Or perhaps she wanted a higher allowance and agreed to dinner only for the second meeting so she could negotiate. It’s hard to know. Even with Type C, women are allowed to say no. It may be easier emotionally if you go in expecting that you might be turned down. Multiple rejections in a row can still be discouraging, though. I hope your next offer leads to meeting someone you’re happy with. I think it would also be a good idea to leave feedback with the club.

I’m Hikōki, a male member. It’s hard to say based on the question alone, but— If you’ve agreed on the allowance, I believe it’s the man’s responsibility to follow through that day and give her the allowance for an adult relationship (intimate). And even if there are “hidden A’s and B’s,” is that really a problem? You’ve had many times more life experience through your working life, so try to have that much leeway. If you can’t, perhaps it would be better to first reflect on—and learn from—the fact that you haven’t been able to live such a happy life. That may help lead to a better relationship down the road.

I’m Maezawa from the CEO’s Office, and I’ll answer as well. You agreed on the allowance during your first date, correct? And you’re a Type C, right? Even so, did you not follow through with the arrangement you agreed to after dinner? Unless you provide a little more detail about that part, we can’t rule out the possibility that the issue lies with the person asking the question.
