You’re competing with around 7,000 women nationwide—or roughly 3,000 in the Kanto area—so you need to stand out enough to be chosen. There are various reasons why someone may not receive any offers, and sometimes it has nothing to do with the person themselves. ① The photos didn’t do you justice. If the staff happened to take photos that didn’t bring out your best features, you may not receive offers, since men often make their decisions based on photos. In this case, getting new photos taken may lead to offers. ② Your staff evaluation may be too high. From a male member’s perspective, you may look like a Gold-class woman, but because the staff meet you in person, they may rate you as Platinum if you have a great personality. (They may even unconsciously see your appearance as Platinum-level because of that positive impression.) When this happens, men may think, “Why is she Platinum? I’d make an offer if she were Gold,” which can sometimes result in zero offers. After more than a month has passed, you could ask the staff something like, “I haven’t received any offers. What should I do?” In some cases, they may lower your rating to Gold so that you start receiving offers. ③ You may not stand out based on appearance alone, but have a great personality. Your profile comments probably describe your positive qualities in detail, but if men don’t respond to them, you still won’t receive offers. In this case, all you can really do is wait for a man who values personality to trust the comments and make an offer. ④ In rare cases, someone whose native language is Japanese may be registered as a foreigner because one of their parents is foreign. They may end up being registered in the international division, meaning that only a small number of Japanese men interested in foreigners will view their profile, while most men won’t see it at all. If they aren’t registered with a regular branch, they may not receive any offers. There may be other factors as well, but these are a few possibilities that came to mind.

Considering that continuing male members already have partners, I think the women who receive offers must be truly exceptional. Popularity is bound to be uneven in any world.

I’m Kazu, a male member. From a member’s perspective, I can’t say for sure whether there are women who genuinely make an effort but still don’t receive any offers. That said, I do think some people simply won’t get offers no matter how hard they try. I believe I heard that around 40% of the 7,000 members don’t receive a single offer over a six-month period, which would mean 2,800 women get zero offers for six months. Out of 2,800 people, there are bound to be some who decide to make an effort.

I’m Dai, a male member. Unfortunately, I think there are some women who don’t receive any offers no matter what they do. One possible reason is that the staff member who interviewed her didn’t have a good impression of her. In that case, getting new photos taken may lead to more offers—if it changes the staff’s impression of her, that is. Sometimes, the comments on the new photos even say things like, “Is this a different person?” as a compliment.
