How long has Universe Club been around?

I’m in Seattle. Believe it or not, I ended up searching for “Deai Chaya Hishiya.”

Maezawa from the President’s Office here with an answer as well. The origins apparently go back to Hishiya, a matchmaking teahouse in Ikenohata that already existed in 1787. Later, some of the people who worked there were given permission to open their own establishments, and that became the forerunner of Universe. The name was carefully preserved over the years, and in 2011, it was revived in its modern form under the name Universe Club. Universe Club—the long-established meeting place for people seeking companionship, with a history spanning hundreds of years— turns out to have been a fantasy.
