I can’t stop thinking about contacting a woman I met just once after making her an offer nearly two years ago, because I still can’t get her out of my mind. Two years ago, our schedules didn’t work out and we haven’t seen each other since. She probably received a lot of offers. I don’t know whether she’s still active, but I’m worried that contacting her out of the blue might make her uncomfortable. Would a woman want to reply to a message from a man she met only once? Would she consider meeting again?

I’ll answer as Maezawa from the president’s office. If your schedules simply didn’t line up, I think there may still be a chance—but then again, why wait two years? I feel you should have reached out much sooner. If it was the other person’s schedule that didn’t work, they may have decided after your first meeting that there wouldn’t be a second one. There’s nothing wrong with trying to contact them, but if you send one message and get no reply, I think it’s best to let it go.

I’m Nana Ayase♡ In my case, I immediately block and delete the LINE contacts of anyone who stops reaching out, so I’m a little worried whether you’ll still be able to get in touch with someone from two years ago. If their profile is still up, I think you should make another offer. When you do, ask the staff to let them know that you haven’t been able to forget them and would like to see them again. However, if there was a problem with the way things ended two years ago, they may refuse, so please keep that in mind.

I’m Taro, a male member. Thanks for the question, Potato Boy. If you think she’s worth pursuing, you should just reach out. You’ve got nothing to lose, right? It’s not about whether you should do it or not—it’s about figuring out what kind of message will get through to her. A long message can feel like too much, but it may resonate with some people. Even with a short message, you don’t want to make it too casual or bare-bones. On the other hand, having received messages from women yourself might help you gauge the right level. Oh, and if you’re using LINE, you should check that she hasn’t blocked you before sending anything(笑).

I’m Aya, a female member. I’ve been contacted that way a few times, but honestly, it really depends on the person. Why not reach out and see how it goes?

I’m Fuu, a columnist. The chances seem extremely slim, but if you really want to see him, I think you should try reaching out. If it doesn’t work out, you’ll at least have closure and be able to move on to the next offer. Hopefully, he hasn’t blocked you on LINE.

Just reach out without overthinking it. If it doesn’t work out, you can always move on. If your LINE name is only initials or something unusual, they may not remember you, so it’s probably best to include a brief explanation. Marika
