I hear the number of male members has been increasing, but roughly what percentage of female members end up leaving because they don’t receive a single offer? Has that percentage gone down significantly?

Maezawa from the executive office here—I'll answer as well. I used to hear interview staff explain that half of the women don’t receive any offers. Recently, though, I overheard them saying during interviews that 40% of women don’t receive offers. So perhaps some data showing a figure around 40% came out somewhere. I haven’t looked into it carefully, but it does seem to have decreased to around 40%. There are more male members now, but my impression is that this is more because there are more new male members joining, rather than an increase in men who continue their memberships. If the number of continuing male members increased, wouldn’t the figure rise even more? That may be why a department called CS was created—to think about how to improve the retention rate. Male members may start receiving various kinds of information and guidance from them. CS was only established recently, so I think they’re still discussing what to do going forward.

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. The reason the number of male members is increasing is that more men are staying on, so the total keeps growing. It doesn’t mean that the number of new male members has surpassed that of women. If anything, new female memberships haven’t declined and are even trending upward. It’s simply that more men are continuing than leaving. The number of new female members is overwhelmingly higher than that of men, though many leave within six months or even sooner, so it doesn’t look like things will change much from how they’ve been.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I remember reading that things may have improved compared with the past, but even so, I feel that around 40% of women probably go six months without receiving an offer. I’ve also seen several women who left after a while when my offer was the only one they received and we didn’t meet a second time. So please don’t forget that some women leave without ever finding a partner.

I’m in Seattle. I remember people saying 46% or about half back in the day. I doubt it’s changed much.
