People who work professionally as models can create all kinds of expressions in sync with the shutter, without being told what to do. They naturally show their most flattering angles and expressions.
That makes things easy for the photographer, since they can capture photos that bring out 100% of the woman’s appeal without giving any instructions.
If there’s a difference, it may come down to whether she can produce her best expression at the exact moment the shutter is pressed, and whether she can strike a pose that makes her look attractive.
I personally prefer natural-looking photos, but photos taken with carefully arranged poses can make:
- The waist look slimmer
- The bust look fuller
- The curve of the hips look more beautiful
I think many of the recent Universe photos feature poses like that.
If I were to offer any advice, it would be to create a good expression at the moment the shutter is pressed and learn how to pose so your body lines look their best.
That said, even if you don’t know anything about posing, the staff will give you directions, so I don’t think you need to worry too much.
Another factor is whether the outfit suits the person’s personality.
Once you become comfortable with the photography staff, natural, attractive expressions will come out more easily, so I think that can make a difference as well.
Also, we recently introduced new cameras at all our branches. If you choose a time when it isn’t busy, your photos will be taken with one of the new cameras.
When it’s crowded, multiple sessions are conducted at the same time, so one of them may end up using one of the older cameras.
The new cameras take clear photos with very little blur or out-of-focus results, even when handled roughly.
