Even quite a long time ago—when I was in my twenties, and I’m now in my late 40s—magazine features comparing fashion trends in eastern and western Japan often showed that Osaka had a higher rate of people with dyed brown hair, and that their hair colors tended to be brighter.
So I think it’s more a regional characteristic than something limited to members of Universe.
