I’m Chikuwa, a male member. I also feel that this behavior is a little unusual. Maybe you could try asking, “You seem to have been feeling a bit unwell lately. Is everything okay?” If she lashes out at you for that, she may have some mental health issues, so it might be best to keep your distance. If it’s a physical illness, and you can tolerate it, perhaps you could try to be understanding.

Usually, people who have messy table manners from the start tend to stay that way, while those who eat neatly generally continue to do so. It’s fairly uncommon for someone’s table manners to get messier day by day.
There may be an underlying illness, so I think you should consider ending the relationship.

It’s not that she has bad table manners—it’s that they’re getting worse day by day? Why?? What on earth happened??
It’s not that I find it depressing or anything. Isn’t it just genuinely fascinating? After about a year, she might be eating like a dog, for all we know.
It’d be a shame to point it out. If it were me, I’d let her keep going and observe her. I might even start a Twitter account under a different name to document it.
