Until now, I’ve used hotel amenities without giving it much thought, but I came across a blog post expressing the opinion, “They used the body lotion without permission! How disgraceful!”
I can understand that taking something from the minibar, since those items cost extra, would be wrong…
But do we also need to check every time before using amenities or slippers?
I’d appreciate hearing what different people think.

I’m not sure why the blog said that. Maybe all the hotels happened to charge separately for their amenities?
Even so, I don’t think it would amount to much, so I wouldn’t call it outrageous.
Maybe he had promised his wife, “I’m staying at a luxury hotel for work today, so I’ll bring home some of the amenities,” and was upset because they were used?
Either way, it seems like a rather unusual case.
Since hotel amenities generally aren’t charged separately, I think it’s fine to use them as they are.

Lately, I’ve been using the body lotion from hotel amenities as hand cream.
After calling men cheap for asking questions about being stingy, does that make me cheap too?
But you use the shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel while you’re there, right? Isn’t the body lotion the only thing left over?
They often smell really nice, too.

Hotel amenities are there to be used, so please go ahead. I’d also like you to brush your teeth. Feel free to use the toner and anything else as much as you like.
If your papa says it’s improper, I think simply saying, “I’ll use them, then,” should be enough.
By the way, Fuu is the type who prepares slippers for her dates.
As an aside, I once gave the club feedback about a girl who took home all the leftover amenities, along with the extra condoms I had brought and placed by the bedside. I reported that she was a bit greedy（笑）
There was a fair amount of amenities—everything for two people. Maybe she particularly liked the toner or something. The amenities were fine, but I was surprised she took the condoms.
As for what happened afterward, she later contacted me very directly to say, “I met someone who gives me a better allowance than Fuu, so I can’t see you anymore.”
Hmm, very straightforward. In a way, it was refreshing（笑）
I replied like the mature adult I am:
“I’m glad you found a good papa.”
That’s the kind of grown-up response Fuu gave.

A few women have shyly pointed to an amenity and asked, “I really like this scent. Would it be okay if I took it home?” Of course, I don’t mind, so I tell them, “Sure!”
I think it’s best to ask before taking anything home.
