Japan’s population aged 15–64 is about 80 million, so roughly 40 million are men. The population aged 65–74 is around 15 million, with men accounting for about 40%, or 6 million. That makes approximately 46 million men in total, meaning only about 1 in 12,000 has joined. So I think the chances of running into someone you know are extremely low. Also, members are not allowed to discuss the member site with others, so basically, they won’t tell anyone about it. That said, the possibility isn’t zero. If you’re concerned, you could register using photos that obscure or blur your features.
