They used to run a company, but things went badly last year, and money is tight, so we’re living off our savings. My father also recently became ill and is forcing himself to work part-time.

If you can no longer rely on your family, why not take this opportunity to try working a regular job? If you go to Hello Work, there are plenty of employment-support services for young people, job listings for people with mental disabilities, consultation desks, and so on. Rather than living as though it’s all over if your papa abandons you, if you get old, or if your family can no longer support you, I recommend recognizing your situation and becoming independent. That’s my honest opinion. If I were to give an answer more suited to this forum, though: “Do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan) and make some money. If you’re young and attractive, you have potential. Then aim to become an actress.” I suppose that would be it.

If you want to become an actress and are thinking about applying to a training academy (think of it as the entertainment industry) while working a daytime part-time job, I think that’s perfectly fine. If your parents are telling you to earn money by using your body, then you might also want to consider the adult entertainment industry. That said, I’m sure your parents have their own reasons for thinking that way. For now, I think the most important thing is making sure you can support yourself. Training academies are probably expensive, so you may not be able to cover your living expenses even with a part-time job. But if your parents are still willing to support that choice, then I think you should go for it. Your options may seem a bit extreme, though. Another path would be to get a regular job and at least cover your own living expenses with your own income. Alternatively, you could apply to a training academy (think of it as the entertainment industry), work a daytime part-time job, register with Universe, and look for a papa (a male supporter). A relationship with a papa isn’t necessarily the same as earning money by using your body. Some papas are simply enjoyable to spend time with. So looking for that kind of papa could also be a good option.
