We tell women to come to the interview dressed as they would for a date—because nobody goes on a date in a job-hunting suit.
Although, now that I think about it, there may have been someone who came in one before. Maybe she was a student coming straight from a job interview or something?
We can lend you clothes, though, right? I seem to remember her changing, having her picture taken, and all that.
Out of the roughly 800 women I’ve interviewed, I think she was the only one. (And, amusingly, the photo wasn’t in a suit.) So when someone is told to come dressed for a date, nobody comes in a job-hunting suit, I guess ＞＜
If there are men who find women in suits more attractive and would definitely make them an offer, it might be a good idea to share that feedback with the staff.
If we hear enough opinions like that and think it would lead to more offers, we might change the wording to something like, “Please come dressed for a date or in a suit.”
But then again, maybe suits are better saved for private occasions.（笑）

For a club’s official photos, I think the standard approach is to stick with the tried-and-true look first. Going for something unconventional seems to narrow the audience you’ll reach in the end.
That said, after seeing this question, I realized that uploading more casual photos privately might actually work surprisingly well. Seeing the contrast between someone’s usual appearance and that side of them could make them even more appealing. Kind of like the interview scene at the beginning of an adult video. Though I always fast-forwarded through those.

I think the women are going for a “cute” look. Or maybe they’re all playing it safe with the TV-announcer type.
A suit would be fine too, but perhaps they avoid it because it makes the photo look too serious… haha.

The reason is that we ask members to dress for their photo shoot as they would when going on a date. Since not many people come in straight after work, and few wear suits on their days off, opportunities are limited—but there’s definitely something appealing about a suit.
I’ll let the interview staff know and ask them to take photos in a suit when the opportunity arises.

I don’t like standard business suits because they lack individuality, but if I see a woman wearing a suit, I’ll definitely check out her profile. I can understand your feelings about that to some extent—maybe 80%.
The fact that hardly any women have their photos taken in suits may be because anonymous question boxes often get questions about outfits that are likely to attract more offers or appeal to papa (male supporters). Personally, I think it’s better to avoid looking too generic, since you’ll just blend into the 7,000 other female members. But it seems most women prefer to have their photos taken in a style that appeals to the broadest possible audience.
