https:\/\/universe-club.jp\/help\/questions\/view\/5821\n\nI’m the newcomer who posted the question above.\n\nThank you for your answer. You asked me to describe my ideal situation, so here goes. Before I started, I dreamed of falling in love with a young woman in her twenties and having an equal relationship where we could both be fulfilled in body and soul through sex with love (teehee).\n\nBut from a woman’s perspective, even if there’s money involved, what reason would she have to enter that kind of relationship with a worn-out old guy? Could I really say that while looking in the mirror? Thanks to this Q&A section, I’ve finally realized how ridiculous that was.\n\nSo I can honestly say that I feel nothing but gratitude toward the women who agree to meet me. And, of course, I’m happy that I’m able to share that kind of intimacy with them as well.\n\nThat made me wonder whether the veterans have ever experienced anything beyond that, which is why I decided to ask.\n\nMac, your tough and sometimes intense comments always make me laugh, but I could tell that you never forget to feel gratitude and affection toward the women you meet. Regardless of how the other person feels, you’ve given me a guiding principle that makes me believe it’s okay for me to approach things that way too. Thank you.\n\nTaro, I’m envious that you seem to have built relationships that are about more than just money. But I also understand that it was simply how things turned out, rather than something you deliberately set out to achieve. Still, it was nice to hear about.\n\nRather than worrying about the outcome, I feel I can focus on the facts and the process as I continue with papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan). I’m very glad you took the time to answer.

I’m Taro, a male member. I’m glad my previous answer was helpful(笑). Getting carried away, I thought I’d answer this one too. I’m in full-on falling-down-drunk mode(笑). I think the humble, self-aware tone in the first half of your question is mature—but I also think you’ve got it wrong. Saying, “She does ○○ for me, and I’m grateful” isn’t bad, but it does sound a little like begging, doesn’t it? Women who show love to beggars are wonderful, but is that really what you wanted? I don’t think so. You want a woman to fall for you, right? You want to show her your best qualities and make her heart flutter. I don’t think you should lose sight of that starting point. Don’t make yourself small and settle for less. Of course, I’m sure you realize that it may look cringey from an outsider’s perspective. But you shouldn’t run away into some predictable, harmless version of yourself just because of that. It would be different if you were already beyond caring about such things—but you’re not there yet. You’re living through your youth in middle age, aren’t you? Didn’t you come here because there were things you wanted to do but couldn’t tell anyone about? That said, I’m sure you intend to follow the rules and observe basic manners. But conversely, as long as you stay on the right side of that line, you’re free to do what you want. Stay hungry, stay foolish. Those were the closing words of a legendary speech by the ultimate self-centered man who changed the world. He was speaking to students in the prime of their youth, but the same applies to us, doesn’t it? Because this is life, after all. P.S. You’re welcome to think, “Who does this drunken idiot think he is, trying to sound cool?”—but don’t say it out loud. This is your fault, after all.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here, answering as well. So that was the kind of ideal relationship you had in mind. I think that because the papa provides an allowance, it can sometimes be possible to spend time together in a relationship that feels romantic while you’re together. It’s perfectly fine to hold on to that ideal. As the relationship continues, I feel it may gradually become something closer to that kind of relationship.

I’m Flag Maker, a column writer. I’ve been busy lately and haven’t been able to keep up with answering questions. I figured that even if I answered after a post had already gone public, I might just be creating more work for Maezawa-san, so I held back ^^; Anyway, I guess you could say that when you’re enjoying yourself at a dating club, the good and bad things—the fact that all kinds of things happen—is part of the appeal. My feelings tend to change constantly, so I can’t really say for sure, but right now I’m in “self-loathing mode.” On my way home after the date, I walked through the Shinjuku nightlife district, listening to music through my earphones and looking up at the night sky, muttering, “Ugh… self-loathing.” I also let out a small fart. On the train home, I listened to the music the woman I’d just gone on a date with recommended and thought, “This is actually a pretty good song.” Then another woman I’d met through this kind of arrangement messaged me, asking, “Are your hay fever symptoms okay?” That was all, but for some reason, it made me happy. It made me wonder if, in the end, what I’m really looking for is meeting women like that. That said, the woman who asked about my hay fever wasn’t super close to me from the very beginning, either. It takes time. So maybe the woman from today’s self-loathing date will ask me, “Are your hay fever symptoms okay?” next year too, haha. Dreams and ideals ultimately come from what the woman in front of you wants. Sometimes, consistently cherishing the people close to you leads to that kind of outcome. And sometimes it doesn’t, haha. After getting off the train, I bought the canned coffee I’d been holding off on all day because I was worried about my breath, and I’m writing this answer while smoking a cigarette and sitting with these indescribable feelings. The nights are finally getting less cold. Spring is just around the corner.

I’m Kamihikoki, a male member. Whether it’s through a club or somewhere else, I think we should pursue our ideals. In a club, the ideal is for both people to aim for mutual affection in various ways, so I first try to work toward what the other person wants. Then the woman might think, “Wait, he made me an offer right from the start, and he’s already met me this many times, working around his schedule. He lets me choose where we go and what we eat, and we’re always in touch. Huh? He meets me this often, and our chemistry feels surprisingly comfortable. Dealing with the dates for other offers is such a hassle, and he comes to see me so happily… I guess I’m feeling fulfilled in all sorts of ways…” And then you continue along as if in a fantasy—or perhaps according to your ideals. Is that what a club involving money is all about? It may lack some of the heart-pounding excitement of an ordinary romance… But isn’t a club what allows your ideals to be fulfilled almost instantly, like forcing a plant to grow? Of course, both you and the other person need to move closer to those ideals…
