I was actually thinking about starting a “papa-katsu consultancy” myself.

I’m pretty sure it’s the affiliate marketer everyone has been talking about, and I casually joined the LINE group too (lol).
It seems you get the details about jobs and projects once you start communicating privately.
They probably have plenty of clients outside Universe as well.
Apparently, they used to introduce women to several clubs at once. But these days, if you register with multiple clubs simultaneously, there’s a chance you could be found out—especially since some male members belong to several clubs. Also, since new registrants receive the most offers, signing up everywhere at once can make scheduling impossible.
With that in mind, some people working as papa-katsu consultants are professionals, so I’m sure there are those who do a great job presenting and managing their clients.
If I ever wanted a referral-style commission, it might be interesting to learn how it works from them and become an affiliate myself!

In the past, women could join through referrals from scouts, but now there are no direct scout referrals. The only distinction is whether someone joined through an affiliate.
Scouts used to have close relationships with the staff and could sometimes pass along information. If we lost contact with a woman, for some reason the scout might still be able to reach her, and we could ask what she wanted to do about an offer.
That no longer happens at all.
However, if someone says they joined through a scout’s referral, that scout is probably registered as an affiliate.
The system has changed so that information cannot be passed along in that way anymore. Now, they are simply treated as women who came through this website. As a result, the interview staff do not know who referred them, which makes the process fairer.
In other words, being referred does not affect the chances of passing the interview.
As for tips on passing, you would need to have experience as a staff member to know them. And even if someone previously worked at Universe, each staff member has different standards, so there is no guarantee that those tips would actually work with the person conducting your interview.
As you mentioned yourself, you applied on your own and passed. So I’m not really sure whether joining through a referral would offer you any benefit at this point.
That said, if you like the affiliate as a person or simply want to support them, getting referred through them would benefit the affiliate. It probably would not benefit you, but if you would like to help that person out financially, I think that would be perfectly fine.

I think the difference is whether the person who referred you receives a referral fee.
Since you’ve already been a member before, the person who referred you may not receive any compensation.
Among the women I’ve made offers to, I know of seven who joined through referrals.
Two of them had been led to expect that they could receive an allowance of ○○ if they joined, so they were confused by the gap between what the affiliate had told them and the reality.
Another two were confused by the gap between what an acquaintance had told them—namely, that she was making tens of thousands a month just from tea or meals—and the reality.
One was a delivery escort who had joined through an affiliate’s referral. Since she already provided full service through that job, she registered as a Type B, wanting an allowance for tea and meals only through the dating club.
The other two were completely ordinary cases.
So, when it comes to women who joined through an affiliate—someone like a papa-katsu consultant—I can’t help feeling sorry for them.
That said, since you’ve already been a member, you probably won’t be fed any strange information by the affiliate, so either option should be fine.
The only difference is that if you re-register through an affiliate, the staff may find it a little strange.
