Thank you for your question.
Being humble is a good thing, but I also think it’s unwise to overthink things.
Most people have only dated others around their own age. So when it comes to someone older than that, it can be difficult to picture what it would actually be like. Even if they imagine it, they may think, “I guess up to their 60s would be okay…”
A woman who says she’d be fine meeting someone in his 60s might meet a man in his 70s and, if he’s kind, realize that there may not be much difference between someone in his 60s and someone in his 70s.
Of course, there’s also a possibility that she’ll be turned down when the offer is made. That may depend on how much advice the staff can give her.
If the man has no bad reviews, then even if he’s 70, he was only in his 60s until recently, so there may not be that much difference. Wouldn’t it be fine to meet him first and decide afterward?
If the staff advised her that way, she might think, “You’re right—I should meet him before making a decision.”
Once you’ve met, it simply comes down to one person meeting another.
It depends on whether you like each other and whether you feel comfortable with each other.
Also, as Mac mentioned, perhaps some men think that while they wouldn’t need to give an allowance to someone their own age, they should offer one because of the age gap.
In other words, they may feel that since they’ve gotten older, they should increase the allowance.
However, most men seem either confident in themselves or unable to consider the woman’s feelings, and many of them don’t seem to think as far as the allowance at all.

Sure, there may be some differences, but I don’t think you need to worry about it. If you’re still not settled down at your age, you should have at least that much thick skin.
More importantly, you’re sixty-nine, aren’t you? Don’t you think you’ll have fewer regrets if you make the most of what you can do at this point in your life?

I was actually thinking about starting a dating club exclusively for men aged 60 and over and women aged 40 and over, since there seems to be more demand for women in their 40s than I expected.
It’s wonderful that you still want to go on dates even in your 70s.
Oh, do you want to date women in their 20s? In that case, keep doing your best with Universe(笑)
If you go on a losing streak, come let the women in their 40s at the Jasmine Club cheer you up.
Although… I haven’t actually started the club yet.

Good question. I’ve actually been wondering about that myself (laughs).
At this rate, I’m a little worried that I’ll sign up with a dating club but end up seeing just one person—and that’ll be the end of my days as a man (laughs).
I wonder whether I’ll still be able to perform into my seventies. Even in my sixties, the process of getting into a relationship involved plenty of ups and downs, so I worry about what will happen if I make an offer in my seventies... (laughs)

I once made an offer to a woman in her 40s. We were close in age, hit it off, and I remember how relieved she seemed.
She also receives offers from men 20 to 30 years older than her, and I’ve heard her talk about them.
But as you can see from the issue of elderly people driving, socially speaking, it’s the same kind of thing when it comes to appearance, behavior, and so on.
It seems like something that goes without saying.
