What makes you lose interest in someone? I instantly lose interest when I find out they’re seeing multiple people. What kinds of actions or words make someone stop being a romantic prospect or make you lose interest? Thank you.

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here, and I’ll answer as well. Thank you for your question. You’re a man, right? I think what turns you off is realizing that she has no feelings for you and that the relationship was only about money. You understand that money is part of the arrangement, but I think men who want to spend time together beyond that often say they don’t like women who are overly money-focused.

I’m Taro, a male member. I assume you’ve experienced falling for a woman you met through a dating club, only to find out somehow that she was also seeing other men and suddenly lose interest. I really sympathize. I had a similar experience a long time ago. It wasn’t so much that my feelings faded—I became emotionally overwhelmed and could no longer maintain them, so we parted ways. I still remember that gloomy, clinging heaviness even now. Strangely, I enjoy becoming friendly with a sex worker and hearing about her other clients, but when a woman I’ve genuinely come to like is seeing other people at the same time, it hits me hard. The fact that I care about them is the same, but I suppose they occupy different pockets in my heart. As a way to protect yourself, it helps to tell yourself from the start, “This woman is involved with several other people.” Then, if you fall for her and think hearing about other men will bring you down, simply avoid asking. If you don’t go digging yourself, that kind of topic probably won’t come up, and if she wants to talk about it, being honest about how you feel should make her considerate. I’ll also answer the question, “What makes you lose interest?” To me, a good relationship is one where something builds every time you meet. If it turns into a situation where nothing is building and you’re merely meeting out of habit, I start to think that perhaps we’re just not compatible. It may not be the other person’s fault—it could be a problem on my end. But in that situation, if I feel that the woman is trying to handle things as efficiently as possible, I lose interest. It feels like she’s cutting corners, being careless, or simply not putting her heart into it. That means she’s given up before I have. At that moment, I think, “This relationship has probably run its course.”

I’m Kazu, a male member. It’s when she puts on an obvious act—pretending to feel good, pretending to climax, pretending to like me, and so on. I don’t mind if I merely suspect she might be pretending, but when it’s blatantly obvious, I feel like I’m being made a fool of, and it completely turns me off. Another thing that turns me off is when I feel that she has no real feelings or sense of gratitude.
