If we define obesity based on BMI, for someone who is 160 cm tall, the standard weight is 56.3 kg, while the obesity threshold is 64.0 kg. So someone between 56.3 and 63.9 kg might be considered curvy. However, looking more closely, the BMI standard for being underweight is 1.5 points lower for people aged 49 and under. Since the obesity threshold isn’t lowered, presumably to prevent people from becoming too thin, I feel that applying a 1.5-point adjustment to the BMI criteria gives a more realistic result. That would put “curvy” at around a BMI of 20.6–23.4. For someone who is 160 cm tall, that means roughly 52.7–59.9 kg. I think people in that range are quite likely to be considered curvy. > Are there women who turn men on and women who don’t? There used to be a popular phrase in Japan: “She’s surprisingly stunning once she takes her clothes off.” Some women look even more attractive without their clothes than they did fully dressed.
