However, the audio quality varies, and sometimes the questioner’s voice comes through so loudly that the woman’s voice—the important part—is too quiet to hear. If possible, please consider using lapel microphones to make the women’s voices clearer, or increase the recording level while lowering the staff’s voice.

We haven’t been able to use lapel microphones or speakers consistently, especially during busy periods. Recently, we’ve also been filming videos about relationship types, which may be contributing to the staff’s voices coming through more than usual. We’ll work to improve this at each branch, so if you notice that women from a particular branch are affected more often, please contact that branch directly.

Maezawa from the President’s Office here—I’ll answer as well. Thank you for your question. I’ve been aware of the audio issue since I was conducting interviews myself. At the time, President Kida asked me to do something about it. I tried various solutions, such as buying a microphone that could be mounted on top of the camera, placing a microphone near the woman using a long extension cable, and purchasing a wireless microphone. However, nothing really solved the problem, so I eventually gave up. Last month, I told President Kida that the audio was still bothering me and asked if I could look into selecting a microphone. He gave me permission, but even when I searched for reasonably priced, well-reviewed microphones, they all seemed to cost over ¥30,000, so I hesitated. I believe the wireless microphone we bought at the time is being used in Osaka and Kobe, but I can’t seem to find any videos from Osaka where the microphone is being used. So perhaps it’s only still in use in Kobe? The best option would probably be to record the audio with a PCM recorder and combine it with the video during editing. However, considering the time and effort involved in editing, I haven’t been able to commit to that. If there’s a tool that can automatically sync PCM-recorded audio with a video at the push of a button, that might be another option. Does anything like that exist? If you have any suggestions for a better approach, please let me know. Of course, I imagine some staff members may be moving away from the camera and speaking quietly, but...
