Do women ever turn down an offer for reasons other than scheduling?

So, for example, some won’t meet a man if he works in the same industry. If the profession a man lists happens to be the same as theirs, they’ll decline. This is probably the most common reason. That said, only a few percent of women refuse offers based on profession, so the chances of making an offer to one of them are probably fairly low. Incidentally, if we told them the real reason in such cases, it would defeat the purpose, so we don’t explain why. If they press for an explanation, some other reason will probably be given. Another possibility is when a man has received negative feedback in the past, but there isn’t enough certainty to say for sure.
