Lately, I’ve been seeing videos where you choose your type, but I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to look for ^^; How are they helpful as a reference? They almost feel like evidence videos, which is a little scary too.

I mainly make offers to Type C, but I’ve encountered several people who I suspected were misrepresenting their type, so their facial expressions and what they say are useful references when deciding whether to make an offer.

I’m Taro, a male member. It is pretty puzzling, isn’t it? I imagine the idea is to show the nuances of how she makes her choice, but that might work if they filmed someone struggling to decide. In reality, most people make their choice pretty quickly. Plus, since they know they’re being filmed, their reactions will naturally be somewhat performative, knowing they’re being watched. A while back, there was a video that recorded an interview for about 15 minutes, almost like a hidden-camera recording. It showed a woman sitting silently while waiting for the staff member to go get something and come back. It was interesting because you could really feel the indescribable atmosphere of the interview and the woman’s nervousness. But by that point, it had become more of a documentary in its own right, and I ended up feeling satisfied just watching the video—so I never made her an offer（笑） I always watch the videos. I like the question-based ones too. I think it would be nice if they could come up with ways to bring out the women’s natural personalities.

I believe it was Osaka, but there was a member who absolutely loved it and requested that the same system be introduced nationwide. I think that request may have been adopted. It’s a classic example of how something one person likes may not appeal to someone else. With so many different opinions, it’s not easy to decide which ones to reflect. > I like the question panel at the Yokohama branch, so I kind of wish they’d introduce it at the Tokyo branch too. We’re two of a kind.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I don’t watch the videos because I don’t think they’re useful as a reference. I honestly can’t figure out what the point of watching any of them is. I’ve never seen one where the woman selects her dating type, but apparently some people get angry about “dating-type scams,” so I assume those videos are meant to serve as evidence. Even then, I don’t think watching one would help determine whether her stated dating type is accurate. I’ve never personally thought, “This is a dating-type scam!” but do women like that actually exist? No one besides the woman herself can know whether she misrepresented her dating type, right? One of Universe Club’s selling points is that they don’t retouch profile photos, and I assume the videos are posted for the same reason—as something that’s harder to manipulate. Although, I suppose videos might be important to men who care about a woman’s voice. P.S. The one where they had women answer the color of their underwear, like some kind of question panel or lottery, really put me off. It felt like a pervert making a prank call: “Hey, hey, what color are your panties?” Taro, > There used to be a video where they filmed the entire interview for about 15 minutes, almost like a hidden-camera recording.
