I’ve never once thought there was anything about Mr. Cha Katō’s situation to envy. Why should the other person’s age matter anyway? If you’re still saying you envy someone because they’re young, you’ve got a lot of growing up to do.

I think Kato-chan made a good marriage. Apparently, his wife’s family is well-off too.
I feel like being single gives me more freedom, so I’m not jealous.

Thank you for your question.
I don’t think there are many people in dating clubs who envy couples with a large age gap. After all, they’re able to meet all kinds of women.
There are also plenty of men who prefer women around 30, so I don’t think younger is necessarily always better.
It really depends on the man. Some only make offers to younger women, while others mainly approach women around 30. Some make offers regardless of age. Everyone has their own preferences.

Having a young wife is appealing in its own way, but when I think about raising children until they become working adults, it feels a bit complicated. What if their father is no longer around before they’re old enough to start working?
Even if you have enough money to cover their living expenses until then, I find myself wondering about the responsibility of being the parent who raises them to adulthood. It’s complicated.
Society today places a great deal of importance on the individual, but personally, I’d like to see my successor grow old enough to understand things before passing the torch to the next generation. That’s why I’m not sure about having an extremely young wife.
That said, I’m not trying to deny anyone else the choice of having a young wife.

This morning, I kept hearing what sounded like, “Damn it, shit, shit.” When I wondered what was going on, my wife was reading something and spat out, “If you don’t want to be called shit, do something.” Then, after I got her out of a jam that afternoon, she suddenly switched to, “Thanks, you’re a god!” So I’m Kamihikoki, a male member who was treated as both shit and a god on the very same day.
Since no one can really know what goes on in a marriage except the couple themselves, what do you think?
If you have a wife you truly love, I don’t think you’d feel envious.
And I don’t think I’d envy newlywed life if it came only after you’re already very old.

I wouldn’t be envious of someone just because his wife is young.
First of all, the idea that younger women are always better isn’t a universal value. For example, at Universe, I’ve offered to women only four years younger than me, and one of the women I’m seeing is in her mid-thirties.
If I were envious of something about another man’s wife, it would probably be that “she’s okay with him having a mistress.” If she didn’t get angry even if he had a child with his mistress, I’d be even more envious.
That said, feeling envious doesn’t make me become that person, so my “envy” is the kind I’ll forget about in a minute. “Being even more envious” means thinking about what I would need to do to make that happen for myself.
P.S.
When I hear about someone else’s lavish lifestyle, I find it “interesting” more than enviable. If it sounds really fascinating, I think about how I could make something like that happen in my own life.
