I always assumed that once you start getting closer, it’s standard for the woman to ask, “What should I call you?” (lol)
It probably varies from person to person, so I think it’s best to ask them directly.

If my name were Takashi, my nickname would be “Taa.”
If it were Masashi, it would be “Maa.”
If it were Hisashi, it would be “Hii.”
If it were Kiyoshi, it would be “Kii.”
I’d like to be called by a nickname along these lines.

Since the girls don’t share information with one another, I’ve been called all sorts of nicknames over the years.
One girl even called me “P-chan.” For the record, there isn’t a single trace of a “P” in either my first or last name.
