Thank you for your question.
If the condo will be put in your name, that alone would be equivalent to a gift worth tens of millions of yen. So even if you couldn’t see other men for several years, you probably wouldn’t feel that you’d lost out too much.
If it remains in your papa’s name, then he hasn’t really bought it for you. If you’re worried about the issue you mentioned, I think you should explain that to him.
Most men will probably understand as long as your reasoning is sound. However, there are rare cases where logic doesn’t get through, so it would be best to assess what kind of person he is before bringing it up.

As other respondents have pointed out, if the condo is registered in your papa’s name, then it’s ultimately just your papa’s asset—it doesn’t mean he bought it for you.
If he can sell the condo for the same amount he paid after three years, once you’ve broken up, then giving you the condo costs him nothing. In fact, it’s a worthwhile investment because he can keep you tied to him.
Keep that in mind, think it over calmly, and then make your decision.

You should ask whether he’d pay in cash and put the property in your name.
Also, make sure there won’t be any additional costs, such as gift tax.
Getting real estate worth tens of millions of yen would be a big deal… but 150,000 yen a month? How does that work? Would it simply mean that the amount of real estate in his name increases?

Unless he’s willing to put it in my name too, I’d turn him down. Otherwise, I’d just be tied down without getting anything in return. It would be different if he were someone I really loved, though.

I think you should just say it as it is. I’m someone who values logic and reasons, so if you explain why, I’d start looking for a compromise between what I wanted to gain by buying the condo and what works for you.
What I like about an allowance-based relationship is that both people can state what they want and calmly look for a mutually satisfying middle ground.
