I'm a little overweight, but I think having a goal would help me lose weight. I'm wondering if joining Universe Club might motivate me to diet. I'm around 158 cm tall and weigh about 80 kg. Are there other members with a similar body type…?

I looked up what 158 cm and 80 kg looks like, and Chika Tanabe from Borujuku is 167 cm and 84 kg, so you’d be even heavier. I’d say that’s not just a little overweight—you’re quite heavy. If you want to lose weight and do papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan), losing around 30 kg would be necessary; otherwise, it would be half-hearted. And if your goal is to make money, there may be better options than a dating club. Think about what you really want to do and work toward that goal. —Marika

Maezawa from the executive office here—I’ll answer your question as well. Thank you for your question. I looked into the highest weights of people who have registered in the past. Based on weight alone, there appear to have been some registrants in that range, so it may be possible. I’ve posted the graph on our staff blog: https://universe-club.jp/staffblog/55801/ That said, this only means there’s a possibility. Considering your height, I feel it would be better to lose weight to 60 kg or less before coming in to register. This isn’t related to the graph, but if your bust size is a G cup or larger, I think you should be fine registering as you are.

I’m in Seattle. If you can get below 70 kg, you’d be my type, haha. You’ve got 10 kg to go—at that point, you’ll be in the standard class.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I was going to search the members’ page to see if she was on there, but while height is listed as a search criterion, weight isn’t. It seems like it would be difficult for members to search, so it would be nice if the staff could look into it. For a woman, 80 kg isn’t “a little” overweight, so why not set getting through the interview as your goal and try losing some weight first? Adding this after reading Seattle’s answer: I’d be fine with someone in their 60s, too.
