① Women who are accepted on the day of their interview
In principle, you’ll be told the result that same day. During the interview, we’ll let you know on the spot: “You’ve passed, Ms. ○○!”
② Women who receive notification of their acceptance later
If you’re told during the interview, “We’ll contact you later,” the staff may be unsure whether to accept you.
If you haven’t heard from them for more than a week, you should assume you weren’t accepted.

There’s no difference. It’s simply a matter of how the branch you interviewed at handles things.
If they aren’t busy, they may register you right away, but in most cases, registration takes place after several days have passed.
In fact, I think it’s more common for people who don’t pass the screening to be notified the same day.
