Apparently, men can also have a semen allergy, and some people may react to their own menstrual hormones, particularly progesterone. In some cases, progesterone spreads throughout the body midway through the menstrual cycle, and the rise in progesterone causes rashes, hives, or dry mouth, with the symptoms continuing until menstruation begins.
It really makes you realize how many different kinds of allergies there are in the world.
