Thank you for your question.
“Genuinely wealthy” certainly has a nice ring to it. It’s hard to say where the line is, and I don’t know Mac’s annual income either—wealthy men tend to report a lower income to Universe than they actually earn(笑)—so I’m not sure what income level you have in mind.
In reality, it’s influenced not only by annual income and assets, but also by a person’s character and upbringing.
For example, the entertainer Watanabe, who was in the news a while back, was believed to earn over 100 million yen a year, yet apparently only gave the woman 10,000 yen when they met in a multi-purpose restroom.
Ultimately, while being wealthy does affect how much someone spends, I feel it comes down to how generous the man is.
Even people with plenty of money can be stingy, and those men tend to get poor reviews from most women.
They often don’t understand why women stop replying to them.
I think this happens when they fail to understand that you need to spend money where it matters.
As for meeting a generous man… it may just come down to luck.

I’m Gaku, a male member.
According to one survey, a family of four living a typical life in Nerima, Tokyo, would need about ¥800,000 a month if the couple is in their 50s. In other words, if a married man earns around ¥10 million a year, he probably doesn’t have much budget left for papa-katsu (compensated dating in Japan).
People earning ¥100 million or more a year aren’t exactly ordinary, and everyone has different tastes, but:
Former ZOZO CEO Yusaku Maezawa was with Ayame Goriki.
The wife of One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda is Chiaki Inaba.
Kingdom creator Yasuhisa Hara was with Ruriko Kojima.
For extraordinarily wealthy men who aren’t athletes or entertainers, don’t you think they tend to seek women along those lines?
But Universe Club has clearly been moving toward a more mainstream direction, so I think Flagmaker is right.

For both men and women, it really depends on the person.
It varies depending on the woman, doesn’t it?
Someone with a defined waist and a mindset completely opposite to yours might be a good fit…

I’m in Seattle.
I’m only at the 20% level, but I only go to conveyor-belt sushi places. The allowance is pretty standard, after all.
I like people with a good personality and good looks—especially those who enjoy conveyor-belt sushi. Fair-skinned is a plus. Sorry for being cheap.

I’m Flag Maker, a columnist.
Since I went to the trouble of writing the column, I might as well promote it too: about 80% of Universe Club’s male members earn somewhere in the ¥10–19 million range, while only around 20% earn ¥20 million or more. Give it a read:

People earning in the ¥10–19 million range aren’t as rich as you might think. Married men in that bracket tend to be particularly stingy in a halfway sort of way. If that’s the income range you’re targeting, try looking for a single man who doesn’t live extravagantly.
As for truly wealthy papas earning ¥20 million or more, statistically speaking, you’ll find one in every five men you meet—if you’re lucky.
I don’t think there’s much point in holding out for a specific look you prefer.
With Universe, your best shortcut is probably either joining a salon or signing up with a dating club where the male members are high-caliber, but women don’t have quite as much say in refusing introductions.

I was about to write, “I don’t personally know any genuinely wealthy people,” but then I realized that if Mac is your definition of “genuinely wealthy,” I probably know Mac better than you do. I’m Kazu, a male member who found that a bit troubling.
I think that no matter how much money someone has, they generally won’t spend it on things they consider wasteful. Some people may see that as being stingy. But in my view, anyone who calls others stingy is poor at heart. People who are poor at heart probably aren’t liked by others, regardless of whether they’re wealthy.
I also got the impression that someone who asks, “Could you tell me what kind of looks, personality, and so on genuinely wealthy men prefer?” probably wouldn’t be favored by genuinely wealthy people either. That’s because they’re lumping everyone together and giving up on thinking and making an effort for themselves. I don’t like listing negative points, so I’ll leave out the detailed explanation.
P.S. I was so distracted by the sense that something was off, but you’re right—the answer should simply describe Mac’s preferences.
As for looks, Mac has already written about those, so leaving that aside, I think he prefers women who are kind-hearted and hardworking.
