I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I’m considering applying for an interview at THE SALON soon.
Previously, the website stated that “male members are limited to 30 and membership is strictly by invitation,” but that wording is no longer there.
Does this mean there is no longer a limit on the number of male members, and that anyone who meets the membership requirements has a chance to join?

As before, SALON continues to limit membership to a maximum of 30 men. When one member graduates, a spot becomes available.
We currently have openings, so please feel free to contact us.

I do wonder why you don’t just contact SALON directly, but perhaps you’re asking here because you’re worried that inquiring might count against you when applying to join. (笑)
That said, I don’t think simply asking would be held against you, so please feel free to contact them directly.
Even if there is a membership limit and they can’t accept you right away, I’m sure they can contact you once a spot opens up. If you meet the membership requirements, I think you can confidently reach out to them.
