I’m Kurasaki from the Tokyo office of Universe Club, and I’d like to answer as well. I often meet female university students with dreams for their future who have the same concerns. I understand that their biggest worry is whether their involvement might be discovered during job hunting or after starting work, so I take the time to explain these matters carefully during the interview. Of course, if you decide after hearing more that you don’t want to join, you can simply leave without registering. Why not come in for an interview first?

Maezawa from the CEO’s office here. Thank you for your question. In the case of a soapland, as you yourself wrote, you would be working there as an employee—it would be your occupation. With Universe Club, however, simply registering does not make you an employee, nor does it make this your occupation. You wouldn’t actually be working there. So I think it would be treated similarly to asking whether someone could become a civil servant simply because they use social media. That said, nothing is ever 100% guaranteed. I do recommend registering, but you should also make an effort to protect yourself—for example, by not sharing private information with the men you meet and by not mentioning that you want to become a civil servant in the future. There’s also an option to register a blurred photo that only members can view, or to register photos that don’t show your face at all. You may receive fewer offers than women who show their faces, but these options are available. I suggest discussing what can be done during your interview. > Will it be discovered if they investigate me during the job-hunting process? Even if they investigate, we wouldn’t provide any information, so I don’t think anything would be traced back to you through Universe Club.
