I understand that a video is taken during the interview, but when I interviewed recently, no video was recorded. Does this mean I wasn’t accepted? Does it depend on the branch?

Universe Club Tokyo, Mamiya, here. I believe you were told during the interview that photos would be taken, but not that a video was mandatory. Still, it’s understandable that you assumed there would be one. Across all branches, it’s unlikely that a staff member would simply forget to record a video, so unfortunately, it’s probably more likely that you weren’t accepted. If you receive a message saying your registration has been approved, the staff member probably really did forget, so please get in touch with us.

Maezawa from the president’s office here. Thank you for your question. We always record a video at every branch, unless the woman declines. Sometimes, in our effort to take better photos, we get so focused that we forget to record the video afterward. It may have simply been an oversight. However, if only a small number of photos were taken, there’s a high possibility that she wasn’t accepted.
