I’m not quite that extreme, but I can somewhat understand how that man feels. I do have the urge to climax, but I don’t really feel much desire for penetration.

Ah, so there’s an approach like that too. I thought it was a pretty good idea and something I might consider trying myself.
The reason is that men also decline with age, and unless they’re with someone they’re exceptionally compatible with, it becomes harder to have the kind of satisfying sex they want.
Sometimes I even find myself wishing ejaculation weren’t part of it…
He would probably still want the intimacy, but if he can enjoy himself without the frustration, it may come across as a gentlemanly way of treating a woman well. I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all.
As for going any further, he probably wouldn’t mind if there were no next time, so I think that’s something you can control depending on how you lead the situation.
