I’m a male member, and it’s been six months since I joined UC. I’ve had adult relationships with six women, two of whom I’m still seeing. By referring to the advice box (LINE messages, dinner-only dates, allowance, etc.), I’ve been figuring things out as I go and feel that things have been going fairly well. At first, I felt embarrassed walking around with women who were much younger than me, whether we were going out for dinner only or having an adult relationship, but now I don’t really worry about what other people think, and I feel that I’ve changed. My question is: what are the feelings of women who have an adult relationship with a man older than their own father? I’ve casually asked the women I’m seeing about this, and their answer was, “Age doesn’t matter” (lol). For the record, I only make offers to women who are open to any age. I absolutely could not have an adult relationship with someone older than my mother (crying). I’d appreciate your thoughts.

I’m a male member, Fullerene! I feel a little awkward answering again when the question is about women’s feelings and there haven’t really been any answers from women yet, but here goes (in which case, don’t say anything). Well, I do understand what the questioner is saying, but personally, I think I could be intimate with someone older than my mother. Janet Yellen is cute, for example. If she asked me out, I’d probably enthusiastically say, “Yes!” I wouldn’t even need any money. That said, it would still be difficult if she were simply an old woman. I think what I find attractive is everything she’s built up over the course of her life. Though I feel like gender shouldn’t really matter here. People don’t seem to understand that very well (lol). Whenever I meet a woman somewhere other than a private room, I make sure to come up with some kind of imaginary scenario that would give us a plausible excuse if someone happened to see us. Depending on her way of speaking and appearance, things like: “Like a boss and subordinate after a business trip” “Like a gathering of relatives” “Like a professor and graduate student having a debrief after an academic conference” That sort of thing. Anyway, I don’t hold hands. Partly because I’m married, but also because if I were a woman, I wouldn’t want to hold hands somewhere we’d attract attention either. That kind of thing is for a private room. It’s better when there’s a contrast, right? (lol)

Maezawa from the President’s Office here—I’ll answer this one too. Thank you for your question. > What goes through a woman’s mind when she has an adult relationship (intimate) with someone older than her own father? Just like you, many women feel that being with someone older than their father is impossible. But that’s only in theory. If the man they meet on their first date is a good person, they may discover the appeal of mature men, become comfortable meeting older men, and even develop genuine feelings for them. On the other hand, if their first older partner isn’t a very good person, some women may leave the service altogether. The first older man they meet is important. Ideally, all the male members of Universe would be good men, though. I’m counting on you, gentlemen.

Universe Club Tokyo Assistant Manager Aizawa here. In interviews, many women say they imagine someone in their 40s or 50s, but I feel that few are actually picturing someone around their own father’s age. Most also say that how old someone looks matters more than their actual age. At first, since they have no experience, they answer based purely on imagination. But once they meet someone, they often find that the men at Universe are youthful-looking and hard to place age-wise, so age itself doesn’t seem to matter much. This may sound blunt, but when someone is young, age makes a noticeable difference. Once you reach a certain point, though, I don’t think the difference is all that significant. Personally, I see 18-year-olds and women in their early 20s as very young, but once someone says they’re in their 40s, 50s, or 60s, I tend to group them all together as “mature ladies.”

I’m Paper Airplane, a male member. It’s nice to see that the questions from people who are doing well are so upbeat. I don’t think you need to worry too much about the age difference. Even outside the club—and not necessarily because of an allowance—I normally go out for meals, walk around town, go shopping, and sometimes even stay overnight with women around 20 to 23. (Though I leave first in those cases.) The age gap can actually be an advantage: things don’t necessarily end, and even if there’s a break in between, it’s easier to meet again. > I only make offers to women who don’t care about age. But I could never have an adult relationship (intimate) with someone older than my mother—not even if she offered me a fortune, even 100 million yen. No way. (Crying) This is exactly it. Women are amazing in a way men aren’t. There’s the phrase “beauty and the beast,” but the reverse is practically unheard of when it comes to men. Women are the ones who shine and radiate light, while men gather around them and are grateful to receive their attention. Men tend to choose almost entirely based on looks and youth. Women, on the other hand, if they find someone who offers comfort, relaxation, something they need, or simply a good fit, can take a genuine interest, recognize what they want, and obtain it. Their instinct, sensitivity, and naturalness are truly impressive. Even in relationships, unless things are really extreme, women can skillfully control and steer the man, fit him into their own lifestyle, and enjoy things in a well-balanced way. Perhaps that’s an innate ability men simply don’t have… and that’s what makes it so attractive. And the things they want—their goals—are different too. Men want a relationship. Women want money.

I’m Kazu, a male member. I’ve heard from several of the women I see that they feel somewhat uncomfortable walking around town or dining with an obviously older man dressed in casual clothes, rather than business attire. They say it looks clearly like a couple with some kind of story behind them. In particular, when a man suggests going to a place popular with younger women, they appreciate that he wants to take them somewhere they might enjoy, but dislike it because they feel self-conscious under the gaze of people their own age. We’ve never specifically discussed adult relationships, but I get the impression that they aren’t particularly bothered by what happens behind closed doors. Personally, I suspect they may simply find it inconvenient when he has trouble getting or keeping it up, or takes a long time to finish.
