With COVID-19 cases rising again, part of me feels that even if I have new photos taken and get featured, I probably won't receive any offers. At the same time, I wonder if being added to someone's favorites might increase my chances of receiving an offer sometime in the future.
Would now be a good time to have my photos retaken?
Also, is it possible for your rank to change after having new photos taken?
I recently had some minor cosmetic work done, and I feel I might look better than I did in my previous photos. Part of me wants to update my profile picture as soon as possible, so I'm having a hard time deciding.

It’s not something you need to worry about. When you feel like doing something, that’s the right time to do it. You’ll be more motivated when you act because you want to, rather than because someone else told you to, so the results will naturally be different too. Imagining an uncertain negative future—like not getting any offers—will only bring you down, and nothing good comes from it.
Minor cosmetic work? Why not? Making an effort to look more beautiful is a good thing.

I do wonder what men think when they see a profile that says, “I’ve had plastic surgery,” but aside from that, I think you should have your photos retaken as soon as possible.
Regardless of COVID, offers tend to decrease during winter. If you want to do it when offers are more likely to increase, summer is the better time—perhaps from June next year onward?
That said, I’m not sure there’s any point in waiting that long.
In that case, I’d recommend getting your photos retaken as soon as you feel ready.
If you do it now, your next photo session would be around June, which is when offers tend to increase.

If you’ve had minor cosmetic work done, it’s probably best to update your photos as soon as possible.
For many women—probably 70–80% or more—the first two or three weeks or months after joining are crucial. Once four or five months have passed, men’s interest tends to drop off considerably, even with new photos, unless she’s especially popular.
It seems most effective to have your photos retaken around two or three months after joining.
