Joe, who was in Okinawa until the day before yesterday, humbly offers the following answer. Okinawa has plenty of diving spots, but I don’t think many can beat Sunabe. It’s surrounded by residential neighborhoods, and just a short walk away there’s a Ferris wheel—where, naturally, you can enjoy the usual standing-up arrangement inside one of the gondolas. If I may be so bold, I managed to seal the deal with Koi-san, Mai-chan, and even Princess Nana! Since it’s a diving spot in a place like that, I assumed it couldn’t be anything special. How naive I was. It was amazing! I even exchanged a few words with some breathing sea anemones. What deserves special mention is that once you’re back on land, the Sunabe seawall is full of exotic Okinawan beauties jogging, skating around, or strolling along with surfboards in hand. Their beauty was every bit as impressive as what I’d seen underwater. Osamu, who came along with me, and I struck up conversations with some of them, then grinned over caramel macchiatos at Starbucks—something neither of us had ever tried before, with an extra shot added. Arai-san at the Okinawa branch! You don’t have even one second to waste lamenting that you haven’t reached three figures. Run to Sunabe! Then head to Starbucks Mihama and sign people up! But I don’t think the swaying is the real issue. The problem is that everyone in the gondolas above and below can clearly see what you’re doing.
