We can’t know whether a woman has had cosmetic surgery unless she tells our staff herself—especially when it comes to breast augmentation.
As a result, we sometimes receive complaints from men, such as, “She’s had breast implants, hasn’t she? You need to do a proper interview.” They get upset with us over it.

I’m Flag Maker, a columnist.
One of the people I’m seeing regularly has had the outer corners of her eyes operated on—probably double-eyelid surgery too—as well as hyaluronic acid injections in her forehead and chin, among other procedures. It doesn’t bother me at all.
The thing is, she asks me what I think every time. If I praise her too much, I’m worried it might encourage her to go further with the cosmetic procedures, but if my reaction is lukewarm, I might hurt her feelings.
It takes some tact to strike the right balance.

I’m a confused man in my 60s.
There have been women whose breast augmentation I couldn’t tell, but with others it was obvious.
When I stroked upward along her body, the firmness was clearly different. If she were a teenager, I might have thought, “Well, I suppose it’s possible,” but at your age… really?
It felt strangely unnatural—more suspicious than anything I’d experienced before—so I was a little disappointed. She was definitely a woman to avoid.

I don’t think I’ve ever met a woman who’s had extensive plastic surgery.
Even if I did notice, it wouldn’t bother me or turn me off, since she wouldn’t be someone I planned to have children with.
