Aren’t gifts prohibited now?
Also, I was under the impression that branch addresses aren’t disclosed to male members in the first place…?
I heard the reason they aren’t disclosed is that, in the past, male members would stake out women coming for interviews near the branch and make them direct offers, though I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

So I was the one who answered, huh? (lol) I’m pretty good at ingratiating myself, so I’ve actually brought a small gift and visited a branch before.
Why?
When you first join, you don’t really know what the branch staff are like or what they’re thinking. Aside from the interviewer, even if you’ve exchanged emails and such, you’re still feeling each other out.
So I thought:
“Show yourself, come out, and let’s talk face-to-face!”
That’s why I went.
However, I wasn’t told where the branch was—and apparently members weren’t allowed to enter—so I ended up meeting them nearby to talk.
They were all busy, but they treated me sincerely and gave me their full attention. And when I met the branch staff, surprisingly, they turned out to be beautiful women and handsome men. (lol)
Ah! There I go buttering them up again. (lol)

I’m a lost soul in my 60s.
To put it simply, “going to the branch” means meeting the staff at places like the hotel lobby where you had your registration interview.
I met almost all of them in Sendai, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, and so on, though I imagine the staff have changed completely by now.
The other day, I came across the name Shito, who conducted my membership interview, and it brought back memories♪

They’re not prohibited.
Were you perhaps someone who used to give expensive gifts to the staff? I believe they can no longer accept high-value items, since it could lead to overly close relationships with staff, or to men later saying things like, “But I gave you this before.”
So I’m wondering if that’s what a staff member told you.
Gifts such as food that all the staff at a branch can enjoy together aren’t prohibited, though, and we still receive them from time to time. (笑)
Also, saying that you’re going to “visit the branch” may be a little misleading. If you say you’d like to bring them a souvenir, I feel the conversation will naturally turn into, “In that case, let’s meet here.”
If that doesn’t happen, maybe the staff don’t like you...

I’m Kazu, a male member.
I had the impression that these matters are judged differently depending on the branch or staff member. I’m not sure whether bringing gifts is prohibited, but as far as I know, male members are generally not allowed to visit the branches these days. I seem to recall that this was based on an interpretation of the dating club regulations.
That aside, I think you can take “visiting a Universe Club branch with a gift” as a metaphor.
